If you’re seeking a quick, non-surgical way to rejuvenate your appearance, consider our non-ablative laser treatment. Non-ablative laser treatments can improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles or depressed scars without causing damage to your skin.
Non-ablative laser treatment uses technology that does not wound the skin, so it requires minimal downtime and recovery.
Non-ablative laser treatment is great for mild-to-moderate signs of aging. It is not ideal for deep facial aging or significant acne scarring. Treatment is typically performed on the face, but other body areas such as the hands or back may also be treated.
The best candidates for treatment are healthy and have realistic expectations. If you have an active skin infection, this procedure may not be for you. Find out if you’re a candidate by scheduling a consultation today.
Prior to treatment, we will cleanse your skin and remove any makeup from the treatment areas. Non-ablative laser treatment does not cause significant discomfort, so most patients do not require numbing cream or a local anesthetic. Once your skin has been prepped, we use a hand piece to apply the laser energy across your skin. Treatment is usually finished within 30 minutes.
As the laser energy safely and gently passes through the surface layer of your skin, it will heat up and stimulate collagen production. The superficial part of your skin is spared and there will be no damage to the outer layers of skin. This means that there will be no break in the surface of your skin and you can apply makeup immediately following treatment.
Recovery time is minial after non-ablative laser treatment. Your skin may appear slightly pink and flaky following treatment, but this should resolve within a few days. Most patients return to work and other routines right away. Your skin will begin to renew itself within 24 hours.
In most cases, non-ablative laser treatments require 3-6 sessions to achieve optimal results. Your results will gradually develop over the course of weeks and months as collagen production begins to increase. Because your skin will be sensitive during recovery, it is important to wear sunscreen on a daily basis.
