The Neck’s Best Thing
Dr. Deborah Sarnoff Introduces Novel Use of Cellulaze To Take Years Off Your Face and Neck
New York, NY, March 22, 2012 – Board-certified dermatologist, Deboarh S. Sarnoff, a clinical professor of dermatology at NYU Medical Center, has perfected a unique technique using the FDA-approved Cellulaze laser (Cynosure, Inc.) to dramatically improve the appearance of a sagging neck and tighten the overlying skin in a single treatment session, without having to go under the knife.
Is it possible to turn a turkey into a swan? “Absolutely,” says Dr. Sarnoff.
Cellulaze was recently FDA-approved to reduce cellulite around the hips, thighs and buttocks in just one treatment. Dr. Sarnoff discovered an innovative way to use Cellulaze with its special 1440 nanometer wavelength, “off-label” to dramatically improve the neck without a facelift for those who, according to Dr. Sarnoff, “aren’t ready, willing or able to undergo surgery.”
Three tiny incisions are made – under each earlobe and one under the chin – and a local anesthetic is introduced to numb the area. Sarnoff goes on to say, “I then use a fiber optic wire which is thinner than a strand of uncooked capellini. It is inserted through one of the incisions and the beam of light from the laser is attracted to the fat and water in the skin. The side-firing fiber of Cellulaze is unique because one side heats the dermis (deeper layer of the skin) while the other melts the fat – all of which translates into new collagen, skin tightening and a firmer, sculpted, younger-looking neck.”
A groundbreaking clinical study conducted by Dr. Sarnoff was presented on March 16, 2012 at the American Academy of Dermatology meeting in San Diego attended by 20,000 physicians, scientists and researchers. The study revealed a 94% satisfaction rate among subjects, whose average age was 56.
This amazing process yields very little trauma to the tissues, therefore there is minimal bruising, swelling, discomfort and downtime. French actress Catherine Deneuve once said that “at a certain age, you have to choose between your fanny and your face.” Dr. Sarnoff says “I believe quite the opposite to be true. Now you can finally have your cake and eat it too. You can not only remove cellulite from the thighs and buttocks, but also eliminate jowls and contour the neck – without having to undergo a facelift.”
